KeySmart Review

Wherever you go you will need a key.  Keys are something that we touch everyday of our lives.  They are used to open the doors to our homes, drive to our destinations, and unlock doors of business.

It is said that “organization is the key to success.”  It’s no fun scrambling looking for keys when they are a really needed.  It also isn’t fun looking through your key ring to find the key that you need.

This is where the KeySmart is helpful.  As I mentioned in the unboxing video for the KeySmart this is a tool to help you keep your keys together and organized.  KeySmart offers tons of features to help with organization along with comfort.  Not only that but it is a bragging/conversational piece when you use it in front of your friends.

I found the KeySmart as I was searching for a better way to keep my keys together in a minimalist way.  I don’t like to have very many items in my pockets especially keys because they tend to poke into the side of my leg.  They also make a lot of noise.  Then I saw the KeySmart and I was immediately attracted to the small size.  Here is my review.

KeySmart Review

The KeySmart offers a range of customization on top of the base product to keep you organized.  The base model features include:

  • Two sizes of either 2-8 keys or 2-10 keys
  • Loop piece to attach car keys or key fobs
  • Compact size that is smaller than a pack of gum
  • Eliminates key jingle
  • Hides the jagged teeth
  • 8 colors to choose from including: blue, black, red, green, pink, orange, grey and purple

Some of the additional features that can be customized on your own personal KeySmart include:

  • Extension to fit up to 100 keys
  • 8 to 64GB USB flash drive
  • Bottle opener
  • Quick disconnect
  • Pocket clip
  • Nano wrench
  • Nano Ruler
  • Nano Socket
  • Upgrade to titanium material

  • Made of Aircraft Aluminum
  • Stainless Steel Hardware
  • Laser Engraved Logo
  • Polished loop for car fobs

The price of the KeySmart is really dependent upon the amount of customization that you add to your personal build.  For about $20 you can buy the basic build with room for up to 2-8 keys and a loop piece to attach fob keys. If you go with the Titanium version it will start around $38.  Free shipping starts on orders over $25 for U.S. orders and $45 for international orders.

The KeySmart can be purchased through their website at or through Amazon.  However, I would highly recommend purchasing through their website as you will have better options for customization.  You are very limited through Amazon.  Shipping from their website took about 3 to 4 days to receive.

  • Saves space in your pockets
  • Legs don’t get jammed with keys
  • Keys organized in one place leaving no chance of forgetting behind
  • Customization options
  • Easy assembly
  • 90 day warranty

  • The smaller 2-8 key version really only fits about 5 keys

My Thoughts:

While unboxing the KeySmart I was impressed with the simple packaging.  There was not a lot of clutter with other paper flyers promoting other products.  Instead, KeySmart simply provided the packets for the KeySmart along with a business card to their website to find instructions.

Putting the KeySmart together was easy.  If you watched my unboxing video then you know that I didn’t use any instructions on how to put it together.  It was pretty self-explanatory.

One thing that I was disappointed about was the fact that I was able to add 3 keys with room only for 2 more.  So the advertised 2 to 8 keys for the base version can be misleading.  However, this could also be due to the fact that one of my keys were abnormally larger.  If it was a normal size key it may have fit about 6 altogether.

After ordering the extension I was able to install the USB flash drive that I purchased.  It is very helpful to have the flash drive with my important documents in case there is ever an emergency where I have to leave quickly.

I also purchased the Nano clip.  This is an excellent addition.  It makes it easy to grab my keys from the clip instead of digging down into my pockets.

Altogether I have thoroughly enjoyed the KeySmart.  It is definitely worth the purchase.  There are other alternatives out there such as the KeyBar along with a few others.  The reason that I chose to go with the KeySmart is because of its smaller size.  Yes KeyBar does give you more color customization but I will take comfort-ability over color customization any day.

If you have any questions about the KeySmart then leave a comment below.  I can definitely help.
